Rate: £7.83/hr

HEADS Recruitment is currently looking for a Handyman/Maintenance Operative to work for our Client in the Irlam area of Manchester. Our Client is a distribution company dealing with spare parts for construction machines.

Handyman/Maintenance Operative

The Role

In this role you will join the Maintenance Team, making sure that the warehouse and surrounding areas are kept in good shape and in order. You will be carrying out general housekeeping tasks (moving stock around the warehouse, painting, emptying bins, etc.) Knowledge about DIY (experience of hand power tools) and previous experience in manual/dexterous jobs would be desirable. Also, possession of FLT Counterbalance license/certificate would be advantageous.

The Candidate

To be successful, you need to:

• Have a previous experience in DIY, plumbing, painting or similar
• Be punctual and reliable
• Be able to organise and prioritise workload
• Be computer literate (Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, etc.)
• have a good numeracy and literacy skills
• Flexible and enthusiastic
• Willing to work an occasional weekends (overtime)
• Good people skills
